be 3.6 million by 2036, according to a Wall Street Journal report. That is up a whopping 50% from where it is
now!
The choice of cremation over pricier caskets has caused the
casket makers an increased hardship. In
this report, it indicated that U.S. casket shipments are expected to total $456
million by 2020 which will be down from a high of 1.2 Billion in the year
2000. Some funeral homes are now
“pushing” a more expensive URN to make up for the revenue loss.
