The tradition of Mother’s Day goes back more than 100 years and has grown ever since.  Around the turn of the century there were even “Mother’s Day work clubs” to teach women how to properly care for their children.  By 1912 many states, towns and churches had adopted Mother’s Day as an annual holiday.
