The Cost of Burial.

These days with changing times and views on our planet’s future it is time to consider the yes or no question of burial.  No longer is there such a thing as a “traditional burial”.  Remember, that if you choose burial, but are not bound to it by religious beliefs that there are different choices.  With funeral homes, burial is another profit center, like it or not.

Many believe that embalming preserves the body.  That is simply not the case!  Embalming is done to protect the area around the burial site ensuring that harmful chemicals do not leak and pollute the surrounding ground.  There is an embalming fee and a refrigeration fee that many experts say could be avoided without harm.

Colonial Funerals, serving all of the great state of Connecticut, wants you to know the facts.  They are perhaps the only funeral home in the state who actively tries to save your family money on final expenses.  By visiting their website, you will see that fact for yourself.  Visit www.colonialfunerals.com then give them a call at (203) 407-8899.

A Funeral Home Shows their Prices Upfront!

What was that?  You met a car salesman who showed you everything behind the scenes?  The people from whom you are about to buy your home tell you every historical flaw in the house?  Is this the era of full disclosure?  Well, not quite perhaps, but in the Connecticut funeral home industry there really is a maverick that believes in full disclosure.

If you are skeptical we understand.  So we invite you to visit www.colonialfunerals.com.  Here, you will find the first funeral home website you may have ever seen with our prices displayed right there on the site.  If that is still not enough for you then stop by our location in Hamden, CT and see that all of the prices are displayed in the showroom.

As remarkable as all of this may seem we are proud to have featured up-front funeral, cremation, and burial pricing throughout our history.  The funeral home industry has been investigated for price gauging for decades.  At Colonial Funerals you will quite simply find honest, fair pricing on any and all services that any Connecticut funeral home could provide.  See for yourself and give us a call at (203) 407-8899.
